Personality: Iris is more like her brother than he would ever admit; she's a hot-head, she's a geek, she's often cynical, and her "brother issues" practically mirror his "daddy issues". But, truth be told, she is much more of a people person. She is more of an extrovert, despite being easily annoyed by other people. However, due to her young age, she can be a bit naive. Despite the fact that she is younger than he is, she scored higher on the army examination test, and became a skilled sniper. She claims to be quite intelligent, but really, she's just good at acting like she is. Despite all of her good grades in school and her place on a mathlete team, she's not particularly academically intelligent; she got all of those things by cheating. Really, she's only good at history and english in that respect, and is absolutely awful at math and science. She, however, is pretty good at bullshitting and has almost everyone convinced that she's some sort of genius. While she's very quick to dislike, once she cares about someone, she absolutely adores and cares about them. Though, once she dislikes you, it takes a lot to change her mind. She often becomes easily attached to older sibling and father figures as a way to cope with her failing relationships with both her brother and her father. Also, if you make any racist Irish jokes, like about being an alcoholic or, God forbid, a leprechaun, she will flip her shit. So, avoid doing that at all costs.
Back story: Iris's relationship with her brother has always been rocky at best. Sure, every now and then they would have a moment where she could've sworn that she saw some sort of affection in his eyes, but then Dick would just go back to treating her like the reason their father left his mother for hers, despite her only coming into existence after the fact. Since their father was always cold and distant, she always craved to have a good relationship with Dick, so she tried everything she could o try to be like him. She tried to make straight A's. She became a mathlete. Hell, she even ended up joining the army with the hopes of ending up in the same squadron as him. However, she was not so lucky.
Instead, she was recruited by the Chairman of some "over-sight sub-committee" or whatever to be the sniper in a special ops team, whose goal was to track down a team of Freelancers who had obtained backup copies of the project's illegal AI fragments and refused to hand them over. However, both her team and the team of Freelancers both quickly discovered the Chairman's intentions and sought to bring him down.
But that was a long time ago.
Now, she's hoping to find her brother in the city of Gulch on Adaptive. Sure, the whole "always wear a helmet" thing is weird, but she's heard that it's a good place to get a new start. And, hell, after spending damn near a year with Kaikaina Grif (how the hell had she gotten enlisted to her team again?), a new start is just what she needs.

Iris looks at the Transponser in front of her. She smiles brighter than she has in a while.
"Alright, Iris," she whispers to herself. "This is it. You're finally gonna see him again. After 14 long ass years, you're finally gonna see Richie again."
She glances over to look at the name of the destination right next to the overwhelmingly bright beam of light. She frowns for a moment.
'That says "Gulch"...', Iris thinks. 'I thought that Richie was in Blood Gulch?'
The redhead just shrugs, deciding it's nothing. 'They're probably just abbreviating for convenience.'
Holding on tightly to her bags, she steps through the Transponser and-
Iris opens her eyes, looking around at the bright, empty room, with a sense that something isn't right. Noticing the glowing screen on the wall, she walks up to it and listens to what some guy named "Jimmy" has to say. Something about a casino and a room...
"Wait a second," Iris mumbles. I thought that Blood Gulch was just a random empty canyon in the middle of nowhere?"
Glancing over at the helmets, her eyes quickly dart to the sage Recon model. She can't help but shiver at the likeliness it has to her old helmet. She picks it, puts it on, and cautiously walks out of the door to the hustle and bustle of a well-developed city.
"This is not Blood Gulch"
